Charles Cosmo Damiani

He was born on September 23, 1935 to Charles and Rose Damiani in Brooklyn, NY. He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Nanice Calvani Damiani. He is survived by his children Charice Damiani, Darlene Lindell and her husband, Kurt, Melissa Koesterich and her husband, Scott, and his six grandchildren, Angela, Steven, Juliana, Abigail, Alec, and Maxwell. He is also survived by his Sisters, Josephine Leibfried of Salem, SC, Rosemary DeSena (Robert) of Millbrook, NY and Theresa Dispenza of Kinnelon, NJ, and many adoring nieces and nephews. Charles was a teacher, coach, and athletic director for the Clarkstown Central School District for over 30 years, as well as Director of Apprentice Training for the I.B.E.W. Local 363. He made many good memories at New City Park Lake with friends and family, and was a dedicated NY Giants fan, attending home games for 30 plus years. In South Carolina, he was an avid golfer, a member of the Italian American Club, a Clemson athletics volunteer, and an active participant in the Keowee Key community. Everyone who spent time with Charlie was uplifted by his infectious sense of humor and good nature.

Family will receive friends at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY on Monday August 21, 2023 from 4:00pm-8:00pm. A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Francis Church in West Nyack, NY at 10:00am on Tuesday August 22, 2023 followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, in Nanuet, NY.
