Daniel G. Bowman

Daniel G. Bowman, 79, of Pomona NY passed peacefully on February 20th, with his beloved wife of 54 years, Helen by his side. Dan was born on November 17, 1938 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to the late Mary and Ernest Bowman. Dan and Helen raised their family in Staten Island, NY and relocated to Pomona in 2014. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1995. Dan's greatest joy was making people laugh, especially his grandchildren. He was a kind, warm-hearted man, who touched many lives in a lasting way. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his wife, Dan is survived by his children, Tara (Richard Sparke), Michael (Pamela Quinlan) and Joanne Bowman-Rafferty, and his grandchildren Emily, Alyson, Gregory, Megan, Hannah, Claire and Matthew. He is also survived by his three brothers, Howard, Glen and Shawn, and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. The hearts that will miss him are too many to count.

The family will accept visitors on Saturday February 24th from 10am - 1pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral Home located at 321 South Main Street in New City, NY.
