Edilberto Camacho of New City, New York, passed away on May 14, 2012 after a long battle with COPD and heart disease. Born in 1937 to Ada Albino and Nazario Camacho, he spent his early years in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. He began his career with the New York City Transit Authority as a bus driver before working his way up to a position as Director of Operations with the Surface Transit Division. A true patriot and Air Force veteran, he loved history and politics During retirement, Eddie enjoyed motorcycle riding, traveling, hosting barbeques, and playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Marcia, his children Michael Camacho and his wife Wendy, Domenique Camacho Moran, and her husband Bill, his step son Richard Goodstone, and his wife Lesley, and his grandchildren, Emily, Grace, Joseph and Miles.
