

Eugene was born in the Bronx on February 5, 1931, to Eugene and Adelaide (Ferri) DiLorenzo. He is preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Jayne and his brother John.
Eugene spent many years as a rodeo cowboy, was founder of Flair Display Inc., and was a paratrooper in the US Army. He has been honored in the Rodeo world and celebrated in Sports Illustrated. He made his mark in each decade with bountiful experiences. He had a special love for the Dominican Republic and spent many years traveling the country, making lifelong friends.
He will be remembered for his independent spirit, strength, and loyalty. A horseman to his final days, he touched all with his warmth, generosity, and captivating stories. In his final days Eugene shared with his family “I did everything I wanted to do.”
Family was the pivotal essence of Eugene’s life. He was proud and honored to be the patriarch, a father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Eugene is survived by his sister Louise, his beloved wife of 64 years Janet, his children Eugene and spouse Margaret, Christopher and spouse Ella, and Janine and spouse Lucas, his grandchildren, James, Daniel, and spouse Megan, Eugene, Philip, Lily, Nina, and his great-granddaughter Lucy.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The American Leukemia Society or The Wounded Warriors Project.
A visitation for Eugene will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 S Main St, New City, New York 10956. A Funeral Mass at 10am at St. Joseph and St. Boniface at 5 willow tree rd, Monsey NY 10952. Followed by a Burial at Gates Of Heaven located at 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY 10532.
