

Frank was a resident of Jones Point, NY since 1984. He worked as a high voltage electrician and retired from West Point. He played Santa Claus for years at West Point and numerous places in Stony Point, Tomkins Cove, and Haverstraw. One of twelve children, Frank was born in Bronx, NY in 1944 to John and Margaret Monahan. He lived most of his life in NY but also lived in TN and NH for short periods of time.
Frank is survived by his oldest son, Jack, daughter-in-law Lisa, and their son John. His daughter Tracy, and her two children Kaelea and Cody. His youngest son Frank, daughter in law Jennifer, and their daughter Aleksandra. Frank has two great grandchildren as well. His surviving siblings, sister Pat in CO, brother Tom in VA, and brothers Chris and Brian in SC. And his longtime companion, Annie of Stony Point.
Before West Point Frank worked as a bar tender and as a propane delivery driver in New England. He worked for Con Edison in NY as an electrician in the 70’s and drove for his freight company as well.
Frank is a Veteran having served in the Air Force during the Vietnam era.
Frank thoroughly enjoyed crossword puzzles. He enjoyed learning, often taking online courses or home study courses, usually about electronics and computers. He also liked fishing, whether it was NY Harbor, Sandy Hook, LI Sound or the Hudson from his dock, he enjoyed throwing a line in in hopes of a sporting catch.
Frank was a great dad, great brother, great uncle and great friend. He will be sorely missed.
