Franco Bongiardina

Franco Bongiardina, 85 of Stony Point NY passed away on Friday August 8th, 2025. Born on July 8th, 1940 he spent the early part of his life in Pozzallo, Italy until he immigrated to the United States as a teenager. He was the son of Vincenzo and Teresa (Marsilla) Bongiardina. He is survived by his siblings Josephine Iuvara, Anna Martino, Paul Bongiardina, Michael Bongiardina and Antonia Collarusso as well as his children Theresa, Marisa and Vincent (Stacie), his beloved grandchildren Joseph, Kayla (Phillip), John, Tyler, Julianna, Dominick, Anthony, and his great grandchildren, Paxton and Isla. His family was the joy of his life.

Franco was well known for his expertise and knowledge in all things in construction and craftsmanship. He was the owner of Franco’s Custom Cabinets until he retired in the late 90’s. He had a love of all things involving the water: boating, jet skiing, fishing and crabbing. He and his family spent much time together on the Hudson River and together at the Jersey Shore. The Hudson riverfront community will not be the same without him.
