

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frank Victor Fattizzi, born in Bronx, NY on May 22, 1949 to Frank and Carmela Fattizzi, who are predeceased. Frank is survived by his wife, Grace Ortiz-Fattizzi, his three stepdaughters Kristina (Michael) Donohue, Renee (Micah)Salvesen, granddaughters Anna Salvesen and Mikaela Salvesen, Heather (Giuseppe) David,grandson Nicholas David and granddaughter Sofia David. He is also survived by his brother Paul Fattizzi and sister- in- law Ellen, nephew Nicholas Fattizzi and niece Kristen (Theodore) Mottola;Frank’s brother Vincent Fattizzi and his niece Antonia Fattizzi, nephew Frank Fattizzi and grandniece Sofia Fattizzi. He is also survived and loved by many cousins.
Frank and Grace were joined in matrimony on September 20, 1997, in the Bronx, and shared 27 wonderful years together. They enjoyed vacationing, going to the movies and watching Law and Order. Frank and Grace looked forward to seeing their grandchildren weekly, and babysat as often as possible.
Frank worked for his father as a delivery boy in his youth, then as an adult he worked as a skilled butcher in the family Butcher shop. When the shop closed, Frank continued his career as a union butcher in different grocery stores throughout Westchester and New Jersey.
Beyond his professional life, Frank found joy in his hobbies and interests. He cherished tending to his garden, he loved to fish in the open ocean, and most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Frank was a proud member of The Society of Our Lady of Monteverde which was founded by his grandfather in 1908. Frank also loved nothing more than a home cooked meal from his wife, Grace. His true passions were his family and food.
A man of great dedication, kindness and generosity, Frank's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Calling hours are scheduled for Friday, April 5 at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home in New City,NY from 3:00PM-8:00PM with a funeral mass to follow Saturday, April 6 10:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hawthorne, NY. Donations can be made to the Glioblastoma Foundation.
