Frank was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his wife Virginia Mordiglia, son Frank Mordiglia, two daughters Claire Zeppieri and Gina Malloy and her husband Dave Malloy, three grandchildren Steven Zeppieri Jr., Nicholas Zeppieri and Michelle Zeppieri, and a great grandson Brandon Joseph.
For a majority of Frank's life he was a butcher. A talent that allowed him to excel his career into the supervisor of the meat departments in many well known supermarket chains throughout the state of New York. He was a Korean War veteran, stationed in Greenland, where he worked and dealt with the navigation of ships. He always loved his country and served it proudly. Frank was also an avid hunter. Year after year he looked forward to the season and the comradery with friends.
In the early 1990's, anyone traveling up route 9W in Tomkins Cove toward Bear Mountain State Park, could stop and see Frank at his Hot Dog truck. He was a staple there for many years and always kept his customers happy.
Frank was usually the first to crack a joke or make a funny comment. He made those around him laugh in a way that only he could. He was a very unique man, full of wit and will be sorely missed.
The family will receive friends on Saturday May 9th from 3-7pm at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main St. in New City, NY. A mass in Frank's honor will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 11am at Immaculate Conception Church, 26 John Street, Stony Point, NY.
