Georgine Addeo, the beloved matriarch of her family and a cherished presence throughout Rockland County, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2026. Born on November 12, 1947, Georgine lived a life defined by her extraordinary capacity to love everyone she encountered.
A Pillar of Rockland County
For more than 40 years, Georgine was a dedicated and familiar face in the Rockland County real estate community. To her, real estate was never simply a career — it was an opportunity to welcome people into the community she loved so dearly. Known for her tireless work ethic, boundless energy, and genuine warmth, she treated every client as though they were lifelong friends. Over four decades of service, she helped countless families turn houses into homes, leaving an indelible mark on the region she proudly called her own.
A Legacy of Selfless Love
While she achieved much professionally, Georgine’s greatest accomplishment was her family. She raised her four sons in New City with unwavering devotion, guided by a simple but powerful principle: to give her children and grandchildren everything she had. She was the steady heart of her home — a constant source of strength, encouragement, and unconditional love. Surrounded by her family, she found her deepest joy and truest fulfillment.
Georgine’s warmth and generosity extended far beyond her family. She cherished a close circle of loyal friends who shared in her joys, supported her through challenges, and remained by her side throughout life’s journey. Their friendship was a reflection of her own boundless kindness, and she nurtured these relationships with the same devotion she gave to her family.
Whether soaking up the sun at the beach or continuing the treasured family tradition at Woodloch Pines in Pennsylvania, Georgine was happiest when her loved ones — family and friends alike — were together. She was a proud and constant presence at her grandchildren’s events, always their most devoted supporter and biggest fan.
Family and Loved Ones
Georgine was predeceased by her beloved parents, George and Rose Romeo, and her brother, George Romeo.
Her legacy of love lives on through her four sons and their wives: John (Jody), Christopher (Amanda), Michael (Jennifer), and Stephen (Georgia).
She was the world’s proudest “Grandma” to her ten cherished grandchildren: Jack, Katie, Julia, Jerry, Gracie, Mikey, Ryan, Siena, Michaela, and Makenna.
She is also survived by her brother, John (Jill); her sister-in-law, Robin; her niece, Lauren (Marc); her nephew, John (Sara); and a lifetime of loyal friends, colleagues, and neighbors who will forever miss her radiant spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love.
Services will be held on Friday from 3:00–7:00 PM at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. A Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church in West Nyack.
