Jane Roche

When women in management were few and far between, Jane was a highly respected & valued executive at NY Telephone Company (NYNEX, currently known as Verizon). She was a dedicated, diligent, strong, conscientious and fair manager who always thought about the customer and doing her best for the organization. She and her husband, Bill, retired to Myrtle Trace Retirement Community in Conway, SC in the early 1990’s after a very long successful career.

Once retired, Jane dedicated much time to volunteer work at the local hospital in Conway, SC & at the Conway School System. In addition, she worked at the Conway Welcome Center for a period of time and enjoyed playing golf with her ladies’ group and dining out with the local dinner clubs.

Jane is predeceased by her husband William P. Roche (2016), son William J. Roche(1979),daughter Mary Alice Roche(2013) mother Mary Conway(1989), father Robert Amberson (1964) & brother Robert Amberson (2015) and favorite schnauzer “Spock”. She is survived by her daughter Patricia “Trish” Roche.

Jane recently relocated to Columbia, MO, upon the passing of her husband to be closer to her daughter, Trish, and her partner, Regina D. Shelton. She will be missed by both. Both Jane C Roche & Bill Roche will be buried in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Nanuet, NY. Services will be held at St. Anthony’s Shrine at 10:00 AM on September 28th, 2018
