Jennifer Mitchell

Jennifer Mitchell (nee Delavega), 45, of Nanuet New York, passed away on February 18, 2018. Jennifer was born June 8, 1972 to Joanne and Albert Delavega. She graduated from Montclair University with a degree in Nutrition.

Jennifer had a huge heart and an infectious smile that lit up any room she was in. She was especially close with her family and had many friends. Jennifer touched many lives in a lasting way, usually just by listening, helping, or lending a hand. She was always there when you needed her.

She especially loved the beach, going away on tropical vacations, her family, and spending time with her dog Stewie, who she loved beyond measure.

Jennifer is survived by her beloved husband Erik Mitchell and their fur baby Stewie, her mother Joanne Delavega, her brother Anthony Delavega and sister-in-law Michelle, sister Patricia Siligato and brother-in-law, Anthony and sister Carolyn Sergeant. Jen was also a cherished Aunt to her seven nephews, Joseph, Nicholas, Matthew, Jack, Steven, Dylan and AJ. Jen loved being an Aunt and her nephews thought the world of her. She is also survived by many loving in-laws, cousins and aunts and uncles. The hearts that will miss her are too many to count. She was pre-deceased by her father, Albert Delavega.

The family will accept visitors on Sunday February 25th from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Michael J Higgins Funeral home located at 321 South Main Street in New City, NY. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday February 26th at St. Francis of Assisi Church located at 128 Parrott Road in West Nyack, NY.
