JoAnn Terranova

JoAnn Terranova passed away on October 24, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness. She was 69 yrs old. JoAnn grew up in the Bronx and was a 38 yr. resident of Stony Point. JoAnn was president of her own medical claims service company and had worked in the insurance industry for many years. She is predeceased by her loving mother and father, Cono and Josephine Terranova, and her beloved brother, Cono “Terry” Terranova and a brother Robert Terranova. Her beloved nephew Paul Terranova Sr. passed away in 2014. JoAnn is survived by her loving nieces, Linda Thurston of Stony Point, Debra Clarke of Sanford FL, Nora Terranova of Stony Point, and nephew Richard Terranova of West Nyack. JoAnn is also survived by her great-nieces Amanda Thurston of Stony Point, Elizabeth Thurston Hutton of Statesboro GA, Gina Terranova of New City, and Annabelle Terranova of West Nyack, her loving great-nephews, Paul Terranova Jr, and Michael J. Clarke of Sanford FL, her beloved cousins, Madeline Praino of Mahopac NY and Ernest Bouyet of Hopatcong, NJ. JoAnn also had many great-great nieces and nephews. JoAnn was very grateful to her long-time friends and co-workers, Melissa Loiacono and Sylvia Ronda. JoAnn was a loving parent to her adopted daughter, Gabrielle Vaccaro Reyes of Beacon NY and beloved granddaughter, Mia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Stony Point, NY. Burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Home, Stony Point, NY on Tuesday from 9AM to 10AM.
