

John Joseph Argenzio Jr., 65, of Orangeburg, New York, passed away on December 25, 2025. John was predeceased by his father, John Joseph Argenzio Sr., and mother, Zoitsa Argenzio. He is survived by his wife, Angela, daughter, Regina and fiancé Erik Herskowitz, sister Barbara Sauli, brothers-in-law George Sauli, Francis Leale, and Drew Leale and spouse Judy Leale, sister-in-law Susan Sica Leale, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who adored him. Born on October 24, 1960, in Queens, John was known and loved for his kind heart, gentle nature, and unwavering sincerity. John’s career as an insurance agent perfectly suited his natural ability to listen, care, and connect with people on a meaningful level. He took great pride in helping others in any way that he could and approached everyone he met with a sincere friendliness and warmth that was exceedingly rare and recognized by all. If John had one dollar, he would find a way to give you two. John had a pure soul, a beautifully innocent mindset and genuine curiosity about the world that made everyone in his presence feel welcomed and loved. He was well-read, with an incredible memory for dates and details that never ceased to impress family, friends and strangers. In his younger years, John excelled at baseball, football and weightlifting, yet his greatest joy came from life’s simple moments—reading, watching sports and eating with his daughter, and spending time with family and friends. He was happiest when in the presence of his animals, his wife, Angela, but above all his beloved daughter Regina whom he was immensely proud of. John touched the lives of everyone who knew him, and will be remembered always for his immeasurable generosity, unremitting warmth, unconditional kindness and the light he brought to those around him. Visitation will be held at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Piermont Reformed Church in Piermont, NY.
