

Born September 25,1928 in New York City. Lorraine was married to Joseph Brady for over 50 years with 6 caring daughters. Lorraine showed joy, compassion, caring and love to all whom she met. Lorraine was a caregiver, showing joy, compassion and love to her family, friends and those who needed companionship. She was a faithful and active member of St. Francis of Assisi Church for 60 years where she volunteered at Clare's Cove Thrift Shop, along with volunteering at nursing homes, and hospitals.
Mom was a fashionista who was always put together. She was wonderful at coordinating her wardrobe with scarves, her logo travel shirts and colorful jewelry. She was a world traveler with her husband, then after his passing in 2003, she took her daughters on many cruises. She enjoyed seeing her girls together having a good time. She loved bingo nights with her daughter and friends. Watching her favorite shows late at night. She kept up on the latest news, reading the newspaper every day, until recently. Mom was a devoted philanthropist to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Research Center for over 20 years. She loved those little children and posted their pictures on a bedroom wall. Mom embraced Irish culture, celebrating St. Patrick’s Day like a true Irish person who adopted Irish Blessings into her life.
Mom’s Polish heritage was recognized by traditional foods represented during the holidays. Our house was the place to go for the holidays, even Halloween, which she would dress up for the grandchildren. Lorraine will be remembered for her strength, faith, generosity, genuine kindness, friendships and inner and outer beauty.
Lorraine is survived by six daughters: Kathleen (the late David) MacKay, Marybeth (the late Daryl) Christiansen, Patricia (James) O'Connell, Geralynn (John) Lynn, Kristine (Neil) Stein, Joanna (Michael) Munari, and eleven adoring grandchildren; Matthew MacKay, Maggie(Jeremiah) Hamell, Brady( Davis) Christiansen, Joanna Lynn, Steven (Rachel) Lynn, Kevin Lynn, Kelsey-Jayne (Christopher) Vickers, Michael Munari, Joseph Munari, Shaina (Trey) Stein, Samuel (Rosa) Stein and 4 great-grandchildren; Olivia and William Hamell, Hudson and Alice Vickers.
Wake Services will be held on Thursday 12/18/2025 at 3pm-7pm at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 S. Main Street, New City. Funeral Mass will be held at 10am Friday 12/19/2025 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, West Nyack, followed by burial at Fred Loescher Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley 10977.
