
Louise Foley died peacefully in her home on Thursday, April 4 in Nanuet, NY. She was 85. Louise is survived by her husband of 59 years, Eugene Foley (retired FDNY) and children; Eugene T. Foley (retired FDNY) of Long Island NY, Kerrie Bates of Ipswich, Massachusetts and Elizabeth Foley, of Beverly, Massachusetts. Louise was a loving grandmother to Kate and Jake Foley and Hudson and Parker Bates.
Born Louise Ann Levesque on June 2, 1933, in Brooklyn, NY to Jeannette and Ovila Levesque, She married Eugene Foley (Bronx, NY) in 1959. They moved to “sunny downtown Nanuet” in 1965 and raised their three children. Louise graduated from Rockland Community College with an Associate Degree in Social Services. She worked with the Volunteer Counseling Center (VCS) in New City and as a Vocational Guidance Councelor at Saint Agatha’s Home For Children in Nanuet.
She loved picnics, playing games with friends and family and the movies.
Services will be held 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm on Monday, April 8th at Higgins Funeral Home, 321 South Main Street, New City, New York. A funeral is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9th at Saint Anthony’s Parish, in Nanuet, NY.
