Marie Agnes Fleming

Marie Agnes Fleming (nee O’Leary) of New City, NY, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2016. Marie was born and raised in Belmont, Massachusetts and moved to New City in 1974. She was born on August 23, 1933 to Jeremiah Patrick and Helen Healy O’Leary. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Waltham Massachusetts, and attended Georgetown Visitation College. Marie married the love of her life, Tom, in 1962. Marie was a longtime member of New City 2 Seniors Group. She was a caregiver much of her adult life; her devotion to her family was boundless. She is survived by her son Tom, her daughters Helen DiPrima, Mary Wilcox, and Catherine McLaughlin, sons-in-law Anthony DiPrima and John McLaughlin, and grandchildren Michael and Lauren DiPrima, and Ryan and Andrew McLaughlin. She is also survived by her brother Paul O’Leary and sister-in-law Tibby O’Leary, and brother-in-law Tom Ball, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Tom, and sisters Helen LeReche, Ann Ball, and Geraldine O’Leary.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10am, St. Augustine’s Church, New City, followed by interment at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
