

Michael was born in St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Upper Manhattan, NY on March 24, 1960. He was the fourth of five children born to John A. and Frances (O’Leary) Guy.
Michael had a long and wonderful career in the entertainment industry as a model/talent agent. He started at Wilhelmina Models in 1980 and continued to work at many different agencies until his retirement in 2016. Michael was also a respected judge for over ten years for the Miss New York/ Miss New Jersey pageants in the Miss USA/ Miss Universe System. He was also a franchised agent for both SAG AFTRA and the Actors’ Equity Association.
Michael loved his family and many friends with all his heart, especially his beloved mother “Frannie” who he lovingly cared for daily until the very end of her life.
Michael was affectionately known as “MOMBO” to his many friends from a very early age. He had a love of travel and visited many places around the globe, but it was his love of camping with his nieces, nephews, his many friends and their children that brought him the most joy.
Michael also had a lifetime love of cooking and liked to create unique and delicious meals and share them with his family and friends with Thanksgiving being a family favorite for over 20 years! Michael is survived by his loving dog, “Nipsie”, and his siblings John (Kathleen) Guy, Kevin (Doris) Guy, Kathy (Donny) Mimnaugh and Ellen Sasso. He is also survived by his 8 nieces and nephews, 10 great-nieces and nephews and his many beloved friends and neighbors. Michael is predeceased by his father, John, his mother, Frances, his niece, Kristen, and his brother-in-law, Peter.
In complying with Michael’s wishes, there will be no funeral. However, a Celebration of his Life will include only his immediate family and his cherished friends and neighbors.
