She was born in New York City on August 26, 1926, to Joseph and Theresa Pontillo. Rose was predeceased by her beloved husband, Peter, in 1978, and her son, Gary, in 2003. Loving mother of Denise (James) Harmon and Pamela (Mark) Radford; mother-in-law of Catherine Tralongo; cherished grandmother of Jill (Scot) Selbo and Peter Tralongo and great-grandmother of Nicholas and Ryan Selbo.
Rose truly enjoyed spending time with her family and loved playing Dominoes with her cherished caregiver, Rita Mompoint. She was a longtime member of Congers 1 Senior Center. Rose will be remembered to all who knew her as a “Wonderful Friend”.
Family will receive friends from 3:00 - 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, at the funeral home. Funeral Mass 10:00 am Wednesday, January 8, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Congers, NY. Interment at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
