Ruth E. Clark

Ruth E. (Trabold) Clark passed away on October 16, 2014 in Lansing, NY. She was born on March 31, 1923 in Yonkers, NY. She graduated from Washington Secretarial School and was married to William J. Clark (deceased) for 55 years. She is survived by her 5 Children: Susan Hranek and husband James, William K. Clark and partner Todd Meehan, Brian Clark and husband Troy Files, Donald Clark and wife Tracy, James Clark and wife Miriam; her Grandchildren: Mike Clark and wife Rachel, Katie Hranek, Dan Hranek, Maryrose Clark, Joanna Clark, Laura Clark, Tim Clark, Rachel Clark, Jennifer Clark; her Great Grand Children: Jack Clark, and Leah Clark. She also leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews. Ruth was pre-deceased by her Parents, Charles W. Trabold and Gertrude Trabold; her Brother, Charles Trabold and Sister Dorothy Hurst. Ruth and Bill moved to New City in 1960 where they raised their five children. Ruth was a member in Catholic Big Sisters and a long time parishioner at St. Augustine’s Church. She was fortunate to share many long standing friendships from other neighborhood ladies. Ruth worked as Secretary to the Director of Nanuet Library where she enjoyed her many years with co-workers, reading children's hour and guiding numerous student pages. Ruth passed peacefully and was dearly loved by her family who are celebrating her full and happy life. Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, 10am, St. Augustine’s Church followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Ithaca Hospice or United Hospice of Rockland.
