Sandra Ann Gerlach-Foley

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sandra Ann Gerlach-Foley, age 66, who left this world peacefully at her home on April 24, 2025. Born in Suffern, NY, to William and Carmela Gerlach, Sandra was raised in New City, NY where she developed a profound compassion for others that led her to a fulfilling career as a nurse.

In her journey through life, Sandra met her husband, Michael Foley. Together, they created a beautiful family, welcoming their beloved children, Christopher and Tara. Sandra's love for her family was boundless, and she dedicated herself to creating a warm and loving home filled with laughter, support, and cherished memories.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Michael; her beloved daughter, Tara; her father, William; her siblings, Billy Joe Gerlach and Gina Ciganek; and her ten treasured nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Carmela and by her loving son, Christopher.

As we remember Sandra, we celebrate a life rich in love, compassion, and a deep connection to both people and nature. Her legacy will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her, reminding us of the importance of kindness, family, and the beauty of the world around us.

A visitation for Sandra will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Michael J. Higgins Funeral Service Inc., 321 South Main Street, New City, NY 10956. A mass will occur Monday, April 28, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Augustine's Parish, 140 Maple Ave, New City, NY 10956.

Sandra Ann Gerlach-Foley will be deeply missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
