Theresa C. Keaveney

Terry was 83 years old.

The only child of the late Thomas and Julia McGuigan Mc Quade, she was born in Queens N.Y.

Terry attended schools in Queens.She met the love of her life,John "Jack" Keaveney , at a church dance.They were married on September 3,1957.Jack predeceased her April 13,2017.

Terry was a Teacher's Assistant at the Jesse J. Kaplan School of Rockland Boces,West Nyack NY for over 20 years. She made lasting friendships with her coworkers and celebrated even the simplest of milestones with her students who she loved dearly

Terry loved and was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren . She was the greatest source of encouragement for all of her family, always there to support them. Holidays were her favorite with large meals, lots of baking and being surrounded by her family.

Survivor include her children, Kathy Campbell (Doug),Maureen Burke, Joanne Keaveney, and John W Keaveney (Mary), her grandchildren Megan Smit (Jeremy),Kara Lacy, Sean Lacy (Joanna),Ryan Lacy (Katie),Thomas Burke, Brian Burke, Katie Keaveney, Kiera Keaveney and John T Keaveney, her great-grandchildren Emily and Mason Smit, Rhea and Aris John Lacy, and Jacklyn Struble. She is survived by her brother in law William Keaveney (Mary) and many nieces, nephews and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband John Keaveney, her infant daughter Marianne, sisters in law Judy Curran, Patricia Donnelly, and Jeannie Morrissey and brother in law Malachy DePaul Keaveney.

She will be greatly missed by her canine companion, Buddy.

Visitation will be held Wednesday September 9,2020 from 3-7pm at Higgins Funeral Home,321 South Main St,New City N Y 10956. Mass of Christian Burial will be held September 10,at 10am at St Anthony's Parish Church, Nanuet NY followed by interment at St Anthony's Cemetery. We will be following Covid 19 guidelines, masks and social distancing are required.
