Theresa Lent

Theresa C. Lent of New City passed away on December 14, 2016 at home with family by her side. Theresa was born on October 11, 1928 in Suffern, NY to Russell and Theresa (Muller) Winter. Theresa married James Lent in 1946. Theresa worked for Avon after high school, then for Clarkstown Central School District, first in the kitchen, then in accounts payable.

Besides her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband James (1996); grandson Kevin Allen (1993); great- niece Julie Rainman.

She is survived by her children: Rosemary Allen (Donnie Conklin) of Worcester, NY; Kathleen Pelton (Lee) of Stony Point, NY; James R. of New City, NY. Her cherished grandchildren Russell Allen; Edward Pelton, Gregory Pelton. Greatgrandchildren Russell Jr. and Sapphire Dawn, as well as many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her brothers; Russell Neil Winter (Fran) and Paul Winter (Edith).

Family will receive friends and family on Sunday, December 18, from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Higgins Funeral Home, New City. Services will be held at Higgins Funeral Home on Monday at 11am. Interment will follow at Fred Loescher Veteran Cemetery.
