Born on January 15, 1930 in Brooklyn, NY to Hope and William O. Bohlin. William or Bill, as his friends called him, grew up in Lancaster, PA. He graduated from Franklin and Marshall College in 1951. Bill served in the US Army and was stationed in Germany from 1952-1954. He attended the University of Pennsylvania for his post-graduate degree and in 1960 moved to Long Island. He spent the majority of his career in the Garden City School District as a well-respected math teacher until his retirement in 1991.
Bill is predeceased by his wife of 34 years, Ann Holter, and his brother Gilbert R. Bohlin of Westfield, NJ and Lancaster, PA. He is survived and beloved by his four nieces, Elaine B. Sullivan, LeAnn B. Hopper (Douglas), Diane B. Mahoney (Michael), Barbara B. Rummel (Steven) and eight great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Conestoga Memorial Park in Lancaster, PA at a later date.
