William (Bill) F Marshall of Spring Valley NY was born at home in the Bronx NY, Sept 5th, 1926 to Irish immigrant parents, Frederick L Marshall and Elizabeth (Condron) Marshall passed away at the age of 93 from pneumonia at Pine Valley Rehab Nursing Home on April 7th, 2020.
Bill attended Saint Ann Grammar School and Cardinal Hayes High School, both in Bronx NY. He worked as a Precision Photographer for Farrand Optical Company in the Bronx and Valhalla NY for 40 yrs and after retirement, Shop-Rite for 5 years in Rockland County.
He was a Proud Veteran of the United States Naval Service. His service was during World ll (1944-1946) on the ship SS Charles S Dana and Blimp Hedron One. During his time in the Navy he received the European Theater, American Theater and Victory Medals.
While on leave in his home town of Woodlawn NY in 1945 he met his bride to be and married Joan V Henry on October 23rd, 1948 at Saint Barnabas Church, Bronx NY and later moved their family to Rockland County NY on June1st, 1959. Bill and Joan were married 71 yrs at the time of his passing.
Bill is survived at home by his loving and dedicated wife Joan Marshall, his children, Richard W (Jane) Marshall, Kathleen (James) Thornton, both of Washingtonville NY and Lawrence T (Linda) Marshall of Pearl River NY, three grandchildren, Joanne (Thomas) Bisconti, Richard W Marshall ll and John Paul (Kimberly) Marshall.
Great Grandchildren Lauren (Brian B) Annunziata, Toni-Ann Annunziata. Kylie Marshall, Peyton Marshall, Owen W Marshall, Zoë Marshall. Brett (Erika A) Bisconti, Brittany (Alex) Monaco, Brianna Bisconti, Brianna (James O) Dembiec, Cody Dembiec along with their parents, Doug and Diane Dembiec.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews of the Crozier and Ruehl Families and very special family friends, the Vito and Emilia LaBarbera family and the Paoli family and his little cat, Katie.
Bill was predeceased by his parents, his sister Mary Marshall Ruehl and her husband James, sister-in law Patricia (Henry) Connolly and her husband Joseph, Dorothy (Henry) Crozier and her husband John and daughter-in-law, Deborah Renaud Marshall.
A Celebration of Life for William Marshall will be announced at a later date.
