William V. Shirghio of New City, NY, 81 years old, passed away peacefully at his home on December 11, 2019. He was born on September 18, 1938 to Dominic and Mary (nee Falcone) Shirghio. He graduated from New Rochelle High School and established County Woodstoves Inc. in 1978. He was an avid fisherman, photographer and liked traveling. He is survived by his wife Irene, his sons David and Andrew, daughter-in-laws Bernadette and Monica, his step-daughters Joanne & Lindsay, son-in-law Joe and grandchildren Anthony, Nicholas, Susana, AJ, Juliana, Haley, Justin and Ryan. He is also survived by his brother Dominic (Jr.) and sister-in-law Dot, in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was also pre-deceased by his loving sisters, Rosemary and Helen. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, December 15 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Higgins Funeral Home in New City, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
