Age 93, Dayton, MN passed away November 7, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Alberta 'Bertie' left the Foley farm to work in the twin cities. She started in a retail catalog order department and moved on to become a private secretary. She married Jim Balder in 1956 and retired to have 5 children. She returned to work in 1976 as a receptionist and retired in 1995.
Survived by her two daughters, Cindy & Rene; three sons, Jim (Becky), Tim (Tammy) & Rick (Karen); nine grandchildren, Jamie, Dan, Jake, Ruth, Tom, Brandy, Mike, Zach & Kyle; and two great-grandchildren, Dorothy & Freja.
Visitation will be held Tue. Nov. 18th from 5-7 pm at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home (7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, MN 55428)
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wed. Nov. 19th at 10:00 am with visitation from 9am until time of mass at St Raphael’s Church (7301 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope, MN 55428.)
