Betty was born on June 6, 1933 in Chicago, IL and raised in Marshfield, WI, where she later graduated from Marshfield Senior High School in 1951. Betty would later marry her husband, Joseph, in 1955. She was active in the St. Joseph Parish in New Hope with the Social Action Center (SAC), and PRISM. Among her greatest passions was her love for teaching music as a piano teacher for many years and instilling a love of music in her students. Outside of her work in the realm of social action, Betty was a musical accompanist for the “Hi Hopes” for several years. She also greatly enjoyed her book club – perhaps a bit more for the friendships than the reading.
She is preceded in death by her Parents, Anthony and Vera; and Sister, Margaret.
She is survived by her Husband, Joseph; Sons, Phil (Kimberly) and Tom; Grandchildren, Tony, Matthew, Alyssa, Tara and Tracey; and Great-Grandchildren, Gavin, Ryland, Logan, Elaina, Grace, Aiden and Callan.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, June 14, 2021 at 11:00 AM with a Gathering of Family and Friends from 10 - 11 AM at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home - 7800 Bass Lake Road, New Hope, MN 55428. with Fr. Al Backmann presiding. A private interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the PRISM Food Shelf of Golden Valley.
