Charles Duane Hale "Skip"

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hale; daughter, Lori

Bird (John), son, Ashton Hale; daughter Heidi Hale-Hanes (Cara) and stepson Chadwick

Jungers (Stacy). He is also survived by 5 wonderful grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Washington and Grace Irene Hale along

with his brother Dennis Ray Hale and sister-in-law Mary Lu Hale.

We have always loved Charlie’s stories of growing up on a farm in Iowa. He had a great love of

baseball. Charles fulfilled his passion for travel through his profession as a Greyhound bus

driver. He drove professionally for over 25 years with a 100% safety record.

Charles was a proud graduate of Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa with a Bachelor of

Science degree.

Dad will be remembered for his deep appreciation for all things created with meaning. He was

an avid life-long learner with a love of books, travel, art, music, movies and culture. Dad had a

profound love of good stories. We are all so proud to be part of his story. We love you and will

miss you.

A private family burial for Charles will be held Saturday August 28, 2021 at Lakewood

Cemetery, 3600 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
