Clara Harlicker

Age 95, went to meet her Lord and Risen Savior on Jan. 2, 2014. Clara was born Apr. 15, 1918, in Cologne, MN, to George and Mary Born. She married Robert on Oct. 21, 1939. Together they raised 3 children, Gerald "Gary", Diane, and Robert "Rob". Clara worked at the Red Owl grocery store on W. Broadway in Minneapolis for 23 years, first as a cashier and then as a bakery manager. She was lovingly referred to by many as "the cookie lady". Clara loved the Lord and was an example of faith and love to all who knew her. She was a longtime member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in N. Minneapolis. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald; and 10 siblings. She is survived by daughter, Diane (Steve) Nash; son, Robert (Ruth); 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous others whose lives she touched with her amazing spirit, strength and selflessness. Mass of Christian Burial 10AM Friday 1/10/14 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 5155 Emerson Ave., Mpls. Visitation 4-7PM Thurs. at Kapala Glodek Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Rd., New Hope and 1 hour prior to mass at church. Interment Crystal Lake Cemetery.
