

Age 62 “Our dear Rudy suffers no more and is now in the caring hands of the Lord”. Born in Minneapolis January 12, 1949 and passed away May 24, 2011. As a Lance Corporal in the USMC, he served in Vietnam War and died of many complications resulting from the affects of Agent Orange. Rudy’s passion was music and as a young kid, he received his first guitar from his Uncle and taught himself to play. He played in his band, “The Majestics” and also was part of the “Tubby Brothers” as well as other bands throughout the years. He was a thoughtful, honest, humorous and generous person who was giving to others. He is loved and will be missed by SO many. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alice Pelz and his brother Timothy. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; sister Maureen “Mike” and husband Oddie Zachmann, brother Frank, nephew Daniel “The Plumber”, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Teddi and Warren Gieseke, brother-in law Jim Guitar, many cousins and his brotherhood of musicians; 3 step-children, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of wonderful friends. Mass of Christian burial 10 AM Tuesday, 5/31, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 5155 Emerson Ave. N. Minneapolis. Visitation 4–8PM Monday at KAPALA-GLODEK MALONE FUNERAL HOME, 7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope with a 7 PM prayer and remembrance service. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior at the church Tuesday. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. A special thanks to all of Rudy’s dear friends who visited him and who have always been there for him in his times of need and to the staff at the VA Medical Center for his care.
