12/05/1958-04/22/2026
Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, George and Mary Ann Homrosky, and her in-laws, Robert and Beverly Kusick.
She was survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Robert Kusick.
She also survived by her children: Kristina, Robert (Blair), and Keli (Terryle); her grandchildren, Avah, Kinsley, Robert, Bryer, and her fur grandbaby, Rex Earnhart; and her sisters, Jeanie, Gayle, and Garnett, along with many nieces and nephews.
Gwen was born in Hollywood, Florida, and moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1978, where she and her husband started their family. She hated being cold but loved Minnesota.
Gwen was an amazing mom—words can’t describe how truly incredible she was. She loved her family more than life itself and was the heart and soul of her family. It didn’t matter if she knew you or not—she always made sure you felt welcomed, fed, and had a full belly. Her cooking and Christmas cookies were the best. She always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself.
She loved having a good time and was always ready for fun, no matter what that entailed. She loved summer days—going to the lakes and pools, tanning, floating on the water, and playing cards with friends and family at cookouts. She loved listening to the birds chirping and watching thunderstorms roll in. Her laugh was contagious, and her silliness was unmatched. Her favorite thing was spending time with her kids and husband—it didn’t matter what they were doing; she just wanted to be with them.
She was such a kindhearted, funny, and loving person with a huge heart—some might say a heart of gold. She always found the positive in every situation, no matter what. She knew the right words to say and always looked for the good in things. She had a way of fixing any crisis her kids found themselves in and never let them face anything alone.
Gwen’s favorite title was Grandma. Her grandbabies brought so much joy to her life. She loved talking and bragging about her family—she was so proud of them.
She will be deeply missed by friends and family.
If we had to choose you again in another lifetime, Mom, WE WOULD. We will love you forever, Mom/Grandma. You truly were the best mom any of us could ask for. Until we meet again, Mom—love you.
In the words of Bob (husband), “Love ya, Babe.”
