Age 85, formerly of Brooklyn Center, passed peacefully on Nov. 3, 2012. Former owner & operator of the Standard Oil Station at Bass Lake Rd & Winnetka. Proud WWII Army Veteran; served in Japan with the 7th Calvary Regiment – 1st Calvary Division. Lifetime member VFW Post 494. Survived by 2 daughters: Linda (Buzz) Schneider of Buffalo & Carol (Russ) Rekow of Plymouth; 5 grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by loving wife Jeanette in 2010. Funeral Service: 12 Noon, Wed, Nov 7 at Kapala-Glodek-Malone Funeral Home, 7800 Bass Lake Rd, New Hope. Visitation 1 ½ hours prior. Entombment with military honors Crystal Lake Cemetery.
