We have lost one of the most compassionate and beautiful women in the world to the heavens where she is certain to have a special place with God and the Angels.  My aunt Mary and her husband Chester were like second parents to me.  When I left school for Minneapolis on my own at age 17, they watched over me as though I was one of their children.  Whether a personal problem or just desiring family, I was always welcomed into their home.

She and my uncle stood by my side even in the most adverse times in my life.  They made certain they attended family functions and never wished to burden another.  They even attended my daughter's graduation party at the hotel at last minute.  Aunt Mary was perceptive and even if one would state everything was going well, she had a way of knowing and of bring up the situation in a way only a trained psychologist could do.  No one could put anything past her and I loved that about her.

Aunt Mary was a fabulous cook and always made certain her guests had some place to stay and a nourishing meal to eat.  She loved to travel and camp out in their camping trailer, even sharing their food with us and other campers when we arrived. 

 Life had its tribulations for my aunt, but she always saw the positive side to life and moved on knowing that God would provide for her and her family and he did.  

Her eyes sparkled like diamonds and her smile magnanimous. She truly was beautiful inside and out.   She was warm and friendly to everyone and gave great hugs to those who ever needed it.  She and Uncle Chester had one of the most beautiful marriages I have ever known.  It surely must have been hard for her when he left for the heavens first.  She and my uncle raised a beautiful family and the love in the family could be recognized immediately.  

I always wished for the same and now I have finally met the man in my life where I may now share the same kind of happiness I have seen in her life.
I know our memories of you shall be forever alive.  How could we forget such beauty, such a loving manner, such a wonderful compassionate humanitarian as you.  We shall love you forever.  My deepest sympathies to the family for our loss. Yet her loving spirit shall forever remain in our hearts.

I'm sad to hear of Mary's passing.  She and Chester faithfully attended the baptisms, confirmations, weddings, and any other family events all the years while I was growing up.  May your memories of her and your dad and the honorable life they led comfort you in the days ahead.
