Beatrice Boullion Hanks

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Percy Hanks, the former Beatrice “Bea” Boullion, age 87, at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 9, 2017 at with Fr. Charles Langlois officiating and Fr. William Blanda serving as con celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Wednesday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bea passed away at7:55 am on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Bea served as the Secretary at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia for 37 years where she was also a very faithful member.

She enjoyed fishing with her family and thoroughly enjoyed her outings with them at the Casino.

Everyone who knew Mrs. Bea will miss her dearly.

She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Castille and husband Karl, Sr. of New Iberia; three sons, Glenn Hanks and fiance’ Stephanie of League City, TX; Thomas Hanks, Sr. and wife Carolyn and Kenneth Hanks and wife Cheryl all of New Iberia; ten grandchildren, Thomas Hanks, Jr., Justin Hanks, Michael Savoie, Brandon Hanks, Amber Breaux, Ashley Switzer, Karl Castille, Jr., Kelsey Castille, Tiffany Moore and Glenn Hanks, II; ten great grandchildren, her daughter in law, Judy Hanks of New Iberia and two sisters, Jeanette Viken of Edna, TX and Donna Hebert of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Hanks, two sons, Michael Hanks and Stephen Hanks and her parents, Davis and Euranie Hoffpauir Boullion.

Pallbearers will be Karl Castille, Jr., Glenn Hanks, II, Hugh Moore, Josh Switzer, Derek Breaux, Michael Savoie and Brandson Hanks.
