

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Betty Gary Bourque, age 86, at 2:00 pm Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Pastor Hector Pulles, Jr. officiating. Interment will be follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until service time. Fr. Bill Melancon of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church will pray a Rosary at 10:00 am.
A native and resident of New Iberia, she passed away at 12:05 pm on, Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at her residence.
Mrs. Bourque loved her family and extended family dearly. She enjoyed spending time with them and attending her grandchildren’s football games and watching the Saints. She will be missed by them dearly and all who knew her.
Mrs. Bourque is survived by two grandson, Dwight Fage and wife Annie and Miguel Fage; six great grandchildren, Cristina Fage, Kimpton Fage, Caleb Fage, Cameron Fage, Jacques Breaux and Peyton Fage; companion and first husband, Cleveland J. Breaux, Sr. all of New Iberia; son in law, James Michael Harbison of Tyler, TX; four step sons, Olan Bourque, Paulman Bourque, Ricky Bourque and Tony Bourque along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Bourque Harbison; parents, Gaston and Laura Gary; second husband, E.J. Bourque; one sister, Lona Romero and two brothers, Dwight Gary and Chester Gary.
Pallbearers will be Dwight Fage, Miguel Fage, Kimpton Fage, Caleb Fage, Cameron Fage, Jacques Breaux, Nolan Bourque and James Michael Harbison.
Cleveland J. Breaux, Hector Pulles, Sr., Lincoln LeBlanc, Donald Gary, Ronald Gary and Peyton Fage will serve as honorary pallbearers.
