Carla Hulin Migues

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Carla Hulin Migues, age 62, at 10:00 am Monday, March 27, 2017 at Our Lady of Perpetual help Catholic Church with Fr. Buddy Breaux officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Carla passed away at 10:44 am on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

Carla was a graduate of NISH and Southwestern University. She taught elementary education at several schools in Iberia Parish including Park Elementary, Avery Island Elementary and Jefferson Island Elementary. She enjoyed traveling, reading, watching TV, and playing games on her iPad. She loved spending time with her family and her grandchildren were precious in her eyes.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Segura Marin and husband Armando of Leesville; one son, Ronnie “Bubba” Migues, Jr. of New Iberia and three grandchildren, Armando Marin, III., Summer Migues, and Gabriella Marin.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chester Hulin and Doris LeBlanc Hulin; and two brothers, Barry Hulin and David Hulin.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.
