I just wanted to say she was such a sweet kid I remember many sleepovers with Lynette and Emily. Lynette would always  fall asleep first when we were young and I would try to get Emily to stay awake so we could talk and laugh more.  Emily  would start to doze off and I would say “no don’t go to sleep” she would reply with her eyes closed and a smirk on her face “I’m just resting me eyes” I knew that meant she was going to sleep. She was a great friend and helped grade school go by a bit easier.

Dear Michael and Robin,  I just wanted to express my deepest sympathy for the loss of your lovely daughter Emily.  I drove to New Iberia from Abbeville to say goodby to Emily and to visually remind myself just why I quit drinking on Emily's 2nd Birthday July 23, 1989.  I did not want to be the one driving the automobile that killed another Emily, or a car that ran down a mother who was just trying to get her children home safely, and by-the-way, from everything that I read I know that there could never be another Emily, and she will be in my prayers for the rest of my life. Every year on July 23 when I receive my gold chip I will do just as I did on July 23 ,1911, I will accept my chip in the name of Emily, and may God rest her soul, she did so much for so many.
