Eva Ann Delcambre Alleman Landry

COTEAU – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Eva Ann Alleman Delcambre Landry, age 67, at 10:00 am Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Fr. Barry Crochet will be the celebrant. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the Men’s Rosary Group leading the Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Thursday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

Eva was born August 11, 1947 in Delcambre and passed away Monday, July 27, 2015 at Iberia Medical Center.

Mrs. Eva was a former cafeteria worker at Sugarland Elementary and loved being around the children. She had a love for shopping, dancing and French music. Eva most enjoyed traveling and one of her favorite places to visit was the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. She was a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly.

She is survived by her children, Lori A. Gros and husband Roland, Donna A. Labit and husband Randall, Kevin Andrew Alleman, and Andrea A. Turner and husband Jason all of New Iberia; a step daughter, Cynthia Mancuso; seven grandchildren, Courtney Alleman, Tyler Gros, Brandon Gros, Hayden Labit, En’acense Rivers, Bentley Turner and Levi Turner; two great grandchildren, Skyler and Jonathon Landry; one sister, Elaine Bourque of Cade; a special friend, Sharon Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of first marriage, Joseph Donald Alleman, husband of second mariage, Wilson Paul Landry, Jr.; parents, Levest and Fedora Armond Delcambre; maternal grandparents, Fredrick and Constance Ormen; paternal grandparents, Leonce and Eva Delcambre; siblings, Leo Delcambre and Anna Martin and her dear friend Eljean Norris.

Pallbearers will be Randall Labit, Tommy Bourque, Jason Turner, Hayden Labit, Stephen Devillier and Travis Romero. Honorary Pallbearers are Kevin Andrew Alleman, Tyler Gros, Brandon Gros, Roland Gros, Dale Bourque, Levi Turner and Eddie Bourque.
