Gail was a woman who led a simple and quiet life, valuing independence and hard work. Throughout her life, she built a legacy of service, owning Regional Insurance Agency, serving as a notary public since before 1989, and running Acceptance Auto Title Company. In her younger days, she dedicated herself to her work, and in later years, she enjoyed the peace of a life well-lived.
Gail is survived by her son, Lloyd Patout, Jr. (Allison); her former husband, Lloyd Patout, Sr.; her sister, Celeste Romero Viator (Darryl); and her beloved grandchildren, Layla and Jayla Patout.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Menson and Marie Delahoussaye Romero, and her brother, Warren Romero.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 12:45 PM at Evangeline Funeral Home, with a rosary to follow at 11:00 AM. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM at the funeral home, with Deacon Evan Hebert officiating. The graveside service will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Holy Family Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Cody Maturin, Pat Smith, Brennon Hebert, Jonathon Brigner, Dallas Broussard, Marcus Delahoussaye and Tommy Patout.
