Hazel Vincent Comeaux

Thursday, July 14, 2016 at St. Peter’s with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Thursday until time of service with a Rosary at 11:00 am.

A native of Loreauville and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Comeaux passed away at 3:25 am on, Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Comeaux was dearly loved by her family and friends and leaves behind a wonderful legacy for them to carry forth.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Percy James “Jimmy” Comeaux; her children, Vincent Comeaux and wife Candace; April C. Dugas and husband Raymond and Matthew J. Comeaux and wife Kristi all of New Iberia; her mother, Inez Laviolette Vincent of New Iberia; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Comeaux, Allie Hargrave and husband Shay, Olivia Dugas, Abigail Comeaux, Riley Comeaux, Avery Comeaux and Amelia Comeaux; one great grandchild, Lila Comeaux and four sisters, Lovell Romero and husband Jimmy of Loreauville; Merril Ste. Marie and husband Brad; Maurine Hebert and husband Danny and Jane “Cookie” Viator all of New Iberia.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Vincent.

Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers for the service.

The family would like to give a special thanks to her friend and caregiver, Jeanice Gros and the Doctor’s and staff of Hospice of Acadiana.
