Irving Joseph Lasseigne

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be held for Irving Joseph Lasseigne, age 81, on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Deacon Theo Landry officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am on Thursday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Lasseigne passed away at 6:20 am on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at New Iberia Manor South.

Mr. Lasseigne was a veteran of the US Army, retired from Shell after many years of service and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.

Mr. Lasseigne is survived by his wife, Lucille Broussard Lasseigne of New Iberia; one son, Daniel Lasseigne and wife Kim of Altamonte Springs, FL; five grandchildren, Bryce Lasseigne, Cody Lasseigne, Brittany L. Tyler and husband Anthony, Joanie Ferrel and husband Brian and Jennifer Lasseigne and boyfriend Cacey; and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by his step children, Jan Badeaux and husband Bryan and their children and grandchildren of Dallas, TX; Bergen Crappell and wife Debbie and their children and grandchildren of Tulsa, OK; Sharon Broussard and husband Craig and their children and grandchildren of Broussard, LA; sister in law, Pat Broussard of Franklin; two nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his son, Duane Lasseigne and his parents, Fredrick and Una Thibodeaux Lasseigne.

Pallbearers will be members of the family.
