Bug, as he was affectionately known to many, had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed salt water fishing with his children, grandchildren and numerous friends.
If you were lucky enough to truly know Bug, you enjoyed his sense of humor and shenanigans. Foti, as some of his true loves referred to him, will never forget him and he will always hold a place in their hearts.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years, Betty LeBlanc Foti of St. Martinville; two daughters; Christie F. Hartley and husband Mark of Dallas and Stephanie Foti Vige’ and husband Andre’ of St. Martinville, and one son Bryan Foti and wife Wendy LeBoeuf Foti of Crowley; eight grandchildren; Holden Foti, Katelyn Hidalgo, Hunter
Vige’, Griffin Seilhan, Michael Hidalgo, Connor Foti, Mary Elise Vige’, and Hayden Seilhan; two sisters; Irene Francis Bourque and husband Bobby of Baton Rouge and Russell Anne Howard and husband Gary Sr. of Slidell; and his loving and faithful dog who aggravated everyone, Bella.
Bug had so many people who were special to him, but some that cannot go without mention, Kayla P. Sonnier, FNP and her staff who gave him excellent health care, his banker, Jennifer Alexander Fontenot and legal advisor Michelle Mouton.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Frank F. Foti, Jr., DDS and Irene Breaux Foti.
Because of Jim’s love and respect of the outdoors and fishing, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in his name the Coastal Conservation Association, 6919 Portwest, Suite 100, Houston, TX 77024.
