Jo Ann Boudreaux Sweeney

Jo Ann was known for her love of the outdoors and took great pride in her yard. She could often be found gardening, cutting grass, and keeping her home in immaculate condition. She enjoyed a good shopping trip—especially to Ollie’s—where she delighted in finding the best bargains. Above all, Jo Ann cherished her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and were the center of her world. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son, Patrick Sweeney, Jr. (Chrissy), and her daughter, Hope Segura (Darrel); her sister, Linda Breland (Steven); her grandchildren, Ryan Segura, Cassie Segura, Brittany Segura, Tyler Boutarath, Daniel Sweeney, Nicholas Sweeney, Paige Gary, MateaGary, and Austin Gary; and her great-grandchildren, Carson, Trenton, Rosie, Alearah, Royal, and Serena.

Jo Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Sweeney, Sr.; her father, Dalton Boudreaux; her mother, Azalie Simon Boudreaux; her brothers, John Landry and Joseph “Duffy” Landry; and her sisters, Shirley Hoffpauir and Rose Ella Landry.

A memorial mass is pending. Final resting arrangements will be held privately at a later date.
