

NEW IBERIA – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Archie Leo Bradburn, age 84, at 2:00 pm on Sunday August 28, 2011 at Church of Christ in New Iberia with Pastor Ken Wright officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday September 2, 2011 at Paoli Cemetery in Paoli, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until service at Church of Christ, 667 Charles Street, New Iberia, Louisiana.
Joan was a faithful Christian and a member of the Church of Christ. In her earlier years she was very active in sports and sang on the radio in a girls quartet. Some of Joan’s favorite pastimes included crossword puzzles, crocheting, cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.
A native of Lindsay, OK and resident of New Iberia, Mrs. Bradburn passed away at 12:20am on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at Dauterive Hospital. She was born April 10, 1927 and reborn through baptism in Paul’s Valley, OK in 1944.
She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Archie Leo Bradburn; sons, Joe Boyd Bradburn, Sr. and wife Marcia Ann of Houston, TX, Mike Bradburn and wife Linda of New Iberia; daughter, Kay Bradburn Marcel and husband Stephen of New Iberia; cousin, Jack Boren of Oklahoma City, OK; grandchildren Joe (Brad) Boyd Bradburn, Jr., Archie Leo Bradburn, II, Bridget Bradburn, Jason Guy Marcel, Joel Michael Marcel; and great grandchildren, Luke Bradburn, Helena Bradburn, Ezra Bradburn, Christian Zin, Megan Zin and Maya Kate Marcel.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ezekiel and Maureen Morrow.
Pallbearers will be Brad Bradburn, Archie Bradburn, Jason Marcel, Christian Zin, Randy Reed, and Harold Madeley.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Marcel, Mike Reed, Don Thomas, Kim Touchet, Walter Skinner, Karl Harvison, and Jerry Trahan.
