John B. Hall

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be conducted for John B. Hall, age 56, at 10:00 am Monday, April 11, 2011 at St. Marcellus Catholic Church. Deacon Theo Landry will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Family Mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Sunday from 10:00 am until 9:00 pm, with the Rosary being recited at 6:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Monday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.

A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, John passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at his residence.

John was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, and photographer. He loved being outdoors and tending to his many plants and beautiful flowers. He was also a huge fan of the band ZZ Top, having had the opportunity to meet them several times at some of the many concerts he attended.

He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and true friend to many. He will be forever missed.

Survivors include his mother, Mary Ann Migues Hall Coco of New Iberia; his sisters, Susan Hall Parastar and husband Koorosh “Mike” Parastar of Seabrook, TX, Elizabeth Hall Barbin and husband Kim Barbin of Mandeville, and Katherine Hall Armentor and husband Andy Armentor of New Iberia; eight nieces and nephews, Allison Powers, Marcie Ramirez, Stacie Gonzalez, Douglas Barbin, Steven Barbin, Jonathan Armentor, Benjamin Armentor, and Sarah Armentor; and his great nieces, Katy Powers, Sayde Powers and Mia Ramirez.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer P. Hall; step-father, Myron Coco Sr.; maternal grandparents, Sidney Migues, Sr. and Martha Migues; and paternal grandparents, H.B. Hall, Sr. and Ima Hall.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Parastar, Kim Barbin, Douglas Barbin, Steven Barbin, Andy Armentor, Blaine Migues, and Norris Buteau.

Honorary pallbearers will be Gilbert Migues and Titus Romero.
