J.P found great joy in music, spending countless hours playing the keyboard and drums, as well as listening to his favorite tunes. He had a passion for frisbee golf and cherished the outdoors. A devout Catholic, he found solace and community at St. Peters Catholic Church.
J.P is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Melanie Hebert Cole, and his siblings: Joseph "Joe" Cole, Michael Cole (Christine), Mark "Aubrey" Cole (JoAnn), Paul Cole (Rachel), Stephen Cole, Marie Cole, Mary Hawes (Douglas), and Frances Cole. He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Lois Cole, his birth mother Phyllis Morris, and his in-laws, Jessie and Cynthia Hebert.
A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00 am until 12:45 pm at Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia on Friday, February 7, 2025. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 am.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Funeral Mass J.P's honor will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2025 at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Fr. David Furka will officiate. Interment will follow at Holy Family Mausoleum.
