Joretta Forgey Breaux

NEW IBERIA – Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Joretta Forgey Breaux age 79, at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Rev. Scott Bullock, Pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 9:00 am until services.

Mrs. Breaux passed away peacefully at 10:15 am on Sunday, September 11, 2011at her residence.

Joretta was born February 25, 1932 in New Orleans, LA to Jack and Mae Forgey. She lived most of her life in St. Mary and Iberia Parishes. She will be greatly missed by those who loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Breaux Bouton and husband Jace, and her grandchildren, Aaron and Alyssa Bouton all of New Iberia; her brother, William H. “Bill” Forgey and wife Lee of Baldwin; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful canine companion, Chloe.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clinton J. Breaux, Jr.; and her parents, Jack and Mae Forgey.

Pallbearers will be members of the family and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Breaux’s name to the Iberia Humane Society, P.O. Box 11422, New Iberia, LA 70562-1422.
