

NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mr. Junius “T-June” Joseph Delahoussaye, age 83, at 10:00 am Friday, January 18, 2013 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Gary Schexnayder officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery in Delcambre.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.
A native and resident of New Iberia, Mr. Delahoussaye passed away at 3:23 am on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Iberia Medical Center.
Mr. Delahoussaye was employed with Cleco for 44 years as an Electric Line Foreman and a Right of Way Specialist. He was a member of the Louisiana National Guard for 12 years, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus #3425, USSSA Baseball Association and was inducted into the New Iberia Recreation Department Baseball Hall of Fame in 2011. He was a softball umpire, coached Little League Baseball and Women’s competitive softball for many years. T-June’s love of family and grandchildren was most evident in his presence at all of their sporting and school related events. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 59 Years, Lou Anna Trahan Delahoussaye of New Iberia; one daughter, Cyndi D. Bryce and her husband Stacey of Liberty City, TX and one son, Kenny Delahoussaye and his wife Lisa of Broussard; six grandchildren, Allyson B. Richard and her husband Trent, Heather Bryce, Lindsey Bryce, Claire Delahoussaye, Jacob Delahoussaye and Will Delahoussaye and two brothers, Raymond Delahoussaye and his wife Glory and Harry Delahoussaye and his wife Hazel all of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clodo and Editha Hulin Delahoussaye and his godchildren, Nancy D. Kibodeaux and Donna D. Dore’.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons Jacob and Will Delahoussaye, his grandson in-law Trent Richard, and his nephews Joey Delahoussaye, Dean Delahoussaye and Gary Delahoussaye.
