Kevin James Guillotte, age 60, of New Iberia, LA, passed away at his residence on Monday, September 2, 2024. Born on August 20, 1964, in New Iberia, Kevin was the beloved son of the late Irvin Joseph Guillotte, Sr. and Alice Derise Guillotte. He was one of six children in this cherished family.
Kevin dedicated many years of his life to his passion for automobiles, working as a car mechanic and immersing himself in all things related to cars. His love for drag racing and car building in his younger years was a testament to his dedication and enthusiasm for his craft.
In addition to his mechanical prowess, Kevin had a deep appreciation for music. From an early age, he embraced a diverse range of musical genres and instilled this love in his children, sharing with them the joy and rhythm that music brought to his life.
Kevin also cherished his time spent outdoors, finding peace and enjoyment in fishing. However, the greatest source of joy and pride in his life was his family. His love for his children and grandchildren was boundless, and his devotion to them was evident in everything he did.
He will be remembered fondly for his zest for life, his unwavering love for his family, and his enduring legacy in the world of automobiles and music. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Victoria Guillotte, Sidney Guillotte, Devin Guillotte, Christopher Guillotte and Emily Guillotte; his grandchildren, Malakai Gray, Elijah Gray, Lucus Guillotte, Mavis Guillotte, Kason Comeaux, Ethan Guillotte and Noah Slaughter; two brothers, Jerome Guillotte and Irvin Guillotte, Jr.; three sisters, Cindy Guillotte, Pauline Myers and Deena Stevens and his companion Lisa Broussard.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by one grandchild, Spencer Guillotte.
A Memorial visitation will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
