Laura Mae Comeaux Bourque

Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Evangeline Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time.

A native and resident of New Iberia, Ms. Bourque passed away at 9:48 am on Thursday June 1, 2017 at Maison Teche in Jeanerette.

Ms. Bourque was employed at Winn-Dixie for many years. Laura Mae enjoyed attending Mass, flowers, gardening, and baking. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter, Shantelle Bourque LeBlanc and husband Stacy of Princeton; grandchildren, Blade, Bre’, and Briley LeBlanc; sisters, Shirley Bourque and husband Lester or New Iberia, Ella Delahoussaye and husband Nelson of New Iberia, Lily Meyers and husband Fred of New Iberia, and Cindy Comeaux of New Iberia; and brothers, Paul J. Comeaux of New Iberia and Junius “Joe” Comeaux of Glenmora.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Romaine and Rose Aimee Dore Comeaux; sister, Mary Jane Rogers; and brothers, Lawrence Comeaux and Raymond Comeaux, Sr.

Pallbearers will be Paul Comeaux, Blade LeBlanc, Romaine “John” Rogers, Charlie Odom, Junius “Joe” Comeaux, and Raymond “T-Ray” Comeaux, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jonathan Comeaux, Fred Meyers, and Nelson Delahoussaye.
